Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of South Alabama in 1982. After working for two years with a local CPA firm, Mark earned his CPA certificate. In 1987, he graduated with a Masters of Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama. That same year he joined his father in their own accounting firm – George A. Hieronymus & Co. In 2009, merger with another firm would create the largest accounting practice in the Mobile Bay area. By 2014, with sons pursuing their own accounting degrees, Mark and his father launched Hieronymus CPAs, LLC. Mark’s work experience includes a broad scope of accounting and taxation. He offers expertise in taxation and tax planning for closely held corporations, partnerships, individuals, estates, and trusts. Community service and board membership includes the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation of South Alabama, The Exceptional Foundation of the Gulf Coast, The American Institute on Federal Taxation, and Young Life of Mobile. Mark and wife Catherine have been married for more than 35 years and have three sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing around Dauphin Island, and reading a good book.
